E. Kent Yucel, MD, FACR is Radiologist-in-Chief at Tufts Medical Center and Chairman of Radiology at Tufts University School of Medicine. He graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1978 and completed his residency in Radiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1983 and fellowships in cross-sectional imaging at Tufts-New England Medical Center and Vascular-Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was an attending radiologist in Vascular-Interventional Radiology at MGH, where he developed his academic interests in noninvasive vascular imaging, including MRA, CTA, and Doppler ultrasound.
Subsequently, he was Chief of MRI and Vascular-Interventional Radiology at Boston Medical Center, followed by stints as Chief Medical Officer of EPIX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Chief of Cardiovascular Imaging at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Chief of Radiology at the Boston VA Healthcare System prior to joining Tufts. He has published and spoken extensively in the area of noninvasive cardiovascular imaging.
